wondering if i should drop?
by: justi heard a lot of girls are dropping and its just hard to catch a feel for these sororities and for them to get a good idea of what im like. Im hoping by next fall or even spring it can be like hybrid or in person

I still say ride it out because a lot of girls didn’t know where they really felt like a good fit until pref

I dropped because of two reasons:
1. I thought Round 1 was unfair because they didn’t even get the chance to know us. If this recruitment is “values based” how are a 1 min video/ a picture enough for a chapter. really reinforced the idea that its all about looks
2. I got dropped from houses I had great convos w and kept by houses that were honestly kind of awk. Zoom just made all the conversations wicked awkward, especially when they would put 2 PNMs with 2 members.

Ya I get all of this but you have to realize as hard as this is for pnm it was insanely hard for chapters. This was weeks of planning and agreed zoom is tough. Round one would have basically been a video quick snippet conversations and ya sororities want pretty girls no new news there. Some girls literally took zero time or effort on their video. Chapters worked hard for this they want to see the pnm do they same.

as hard as this is for PNMs, it has been HELL ON EARTH for chapters, especially with pan being as indecisive as they are. we wish we could have met you in person as well, but we’re trying our best with what we have and sometimes that can mean an awkward convo or two. i would say stick it out because you paid to be here and you never know, you might end up loving where you end up, even if it was awkward at first.

definitely different experience then doing it in person and houses im getting back i didnt have good conversation/ didnt connect with
