Pros and cons of living in a sorority house?
by: just askinHey ladies, I just wanted to know the pros and cons of living in the sorority house. Whenever I go to rush I just wanna keep that in the back of my head. And maybe the pros and cons of the sororities with no house?? I wanna get the full experience.

I lived in my sorority house and it’s fun tbh but I wouldn’t do it again. It’s kind of a thing you can do once for the experience. But can get a little claustrophobic and you don’t really have your own space. A lot of girls don’t actually end up living in the house so I don’t think having a house or not having a house makes a difference in your sorority experience. The ones without houses are as great a chapter as any other here and should def be considered just the same. Hope this helped!

I loved living at my house! I lived there for 2 years and honestly miss it so much. I got closer to more sisters from it and had the convenience of being right by everything. It also is nice to always have someone to do stuff with or carpool with. I also lived in one where only two people shared a room, not four, so not sure if that makes a difference

I’m in a sorority without a house and I honestly don’t even see a difference. I probably wouldn’t live in the house anyway if we had one but that’s just my personal preference. I also live in an apartment with my sorority sisters which I think is a better deal since we get our own room and there aren’t as many restrictions as there would be in a sorority house. We have sisters over all the time to hang out like it would be in a house. It’s not really limiting at all, I don’t get the hype. Up to you though! Good luck with rush!

Living in a sorority house is the best experience ever. If you don’t do it you’re missing out on a one in a lifetime experience. It helps you get so much closer with sisters and you’re always doing something and always are a part of all the fun. It’s also helpful and more convenient for a lot of events on campus and sorority wise. Highly recommend. If you have good sisters you get along with you will be fine and thrive.
