greek park 2?

hi so during greek forum i know they talked about something called greek park 2? or greek part 2? i know it’s about getting new houses for the fraternities and sororities but i’m not sure what it entails.

i might just be an optimist from a sorority with no house but if there’s an opportunity to do something about it for me and others in the community i’d love to learn more about it! i’m also new to this so i’m sorry if it’s been public knowledge for a while but if someone can help me out i’d really appreciate it!

It was proposed years ago to build houses and a parking garage in the lot across from sigma chi but there’s no utilities over there so it’d take A LOT of money to actually see the process through and since UCF isn’t our biggest fan it probably won’t happen for awhile or at least while we’re here

I heard a girl at greek forum say that DZ’s charter agreement with the university included the promise of a house after three consecutive years of good standing. Obviously ofsl and the university like to erase comments but also love to not honor contracts. And they knew they weren’t going to honor DZ’s agreement because they didn’t even offer that to GPhi in their charter agreement.

It’s in DZ’s chapter agreement that they should get a house after 3 years of being on campus. They never followed through and have been telling DZ that it’s because of no room. But DZ nationals is ready to front most of the money yet ucf refuses to let them on.

IFC wants to expand further and they prolly will be able to but really the university and ofsl are gonna use that to turn it around and say they can’t give houses to so many unhoused chapters. As if they’d even try.

lmao half of greek forum was the people with influence telling undergraduate students to do all the work and the only productive speakers were students at the end. not to mention telling the chapters without houses (the newest ones) to ask their alum (which they barely have any of since they are newer chapters) for money so ofsl can still do nothing. so a tip, don’t put much weight on talks of greek park 2

My aunt went to school here in the 90s and UCF was promising Greek Park 2 even back then. Never going to happen.

all i know is that, if specific things were promised, and chapters upheld the standards asked of them to receive something like this UCF should be holding up their end of the deal too.
