continuous open bidding

by: Hey

Can sororities still continuous open bid even if they can’t recruit? Like if there’s a PNM who already knows a bunch of sisters, could she be invited to join without a formal recruitment event?

Sometimes but it’s not the norm. With spring recruitment not happening it’s a definite no though

yes, this is a thing with some sororities, not sure about all. they don’t have to, but will if they need more members to fill the chapter

I meant because there’s no recruitment. Are houses that did nothing wrong being punished by being forbidden from taking members they’d already decided to take or just prevented from having announced events?

Because if they prevent everyone from taking any new members, they’ve suspended every house without reason or due process.

Is your “definitely not” based on knowledge or just speculation?

OFSL can do whatever they want. They already have Piphi on interim suspension for just something that is speculation. Even after interviewing them, having them do surveys and having no proof of wrong doing, they put them on interim suspension for an anonymous post someone wrote here! Basically if they say no open bidding, yea it will be for everyone unfortunately.

If there is no Spring recruitment that no,chapters can't take new members. Recruitment isn't the events, it's the process of recruiting new members

My friend who rushed and got dropped by her favorite houses and ended up dropping recruitment just got a bid from Zeta in November so it’s definitely not impossible
