sigma chi new hearing?
by: ?Is sigma Chi going to have another hearing or no? Because ofsl hasn’t updated the website at all. They haven’t even changed pi phi’s standing and I thought their hearing was on the 5th

Honestly pi phi has one of the quickest dates for a first hearing I’ve seen and they’ve already interviewed most of the members which is some of the fastest I’ve seen. However since nothing further has been announced it’s pretty obvious they didn’t find anything and I’ve heard there’s already a second round of interviews with certain people because they didn’t like not finding anything. Basically if ofsl investigates you it’s better to just be suspended immediately for a semester than being investigated cause they’ll investigate for months with no leads just waiting for one person to tell them something they wanna hear

Here’s how it works. They have a hearing set whenever ofsl feels like it, ofsl can push it back or make it as far out as they want and they’ll still be under suspension. In the hearing they’ll post the charges and formally announce the investigation. Then they’ll interview most brothers and spend weeks compiling evidence if any. If they don’t like what they find they’ll have more interviews and more hearings. Most likely they won’t be back until summer unless they have any influence at UCF which they really don’t anymore. UCF drags it out as much as possible so this is by no means “they’ll be back by spring” type thing. The girl who got delta sig suspended admitted that they were innocent months before UCF let them come back

from what I understand i thought ofsl just put the chapter on interim suspension then send the case to student conduct and they handle the interviews and everything

So they’re on suspension during the entire investigation until a judgment is passed down which will take a few months most likely. The term “interim suspension basically mean they’re suspended but UCF doesn’t have anything to suspended them for yet but they’re looking” after the investigation they’ll decide to either let them go or punish them but that’s when their current situation ends.
