Sigma kappa usually does spring recruitment, but you won't officially know until the spring if any of the chapters are participating in it

How does COB work?

Usually COB is extremely informal. The chapters that do COB are usually ones that only need a small number of girls to reach chapter total. They may ask the chapter if the members have any one they want to put forward. There may be girls that some of the members have become friends with and they know they will fit in. Then, they may invite them to formal dinner or another event so they can meet more members and then the chapter will vote.

Contact the VP of Membership for the chapter(s) you are interested in. They may not know their numbers until the semester is over though. I would still express your interest now though and then keep in touch.

Treat it like going through rush... be yourself, be genuine, and don't be creepy. If a chapter thinks it is weird, then that house is probably not the right fit for you.

you went through rush and didn't accept a bid. would it still be okay to email sororities or will they not consider you because they already dropped you?

If you didn't go to pref - or even if you did - but you didn't sign the bid card (the MRABA) then you are eligible. Otherwise, no. Got it?
