do recommendations really matter?

I was able to get recommendations for four different sororities, Alpha Phi, Sigma Kappa, Theta, and Pi Beta Phi. I was wondering if they would even help me at all during the process. Also if the sororities judge on what chapters the women who wrote the recs came from, two from ASU, one from U of A and MIT.

They won't help you get into Pi Phi or APhi at all tbh. SK and Theta maybe but just a bit..

These people have no idea what will benefit you. They aren't even in these houses. Even though you didn't get a letter for my house I know they mean a lot and are always taken into consideration. I would imagine other houses do something similar.
