gpa risk?

by: GPA

I have a 2.8 GPA but my grades have tremendously went up my last two years of high school, if I send my transcript of senior year what are my chances of getting a bid from a top sorority? Or even a bid at all?

Listen up. You have a 2.8. Get it out of your head that you want a bid from a top sorority. Because that might not happen. It might not happen even for girls who are rushing with a 3.8, but it is even more unlikely for someone with a 2.8.

I rushed with a 2.8 as well. I had everything else going for me. Recs for every house, an open mind, and I'm attractive. However I'm from out of state and didn't have any in-house connections.

I ended up in a bottom 3 house. I was shocked and disappointed and cried on bid day. But here I am 3 years later, about to be a senior, and I am more in love with my house every. single. day. I get told all the time that I'm "pretty enough to be in a top house" but honestly I wouldn't have it any other way.

I know you didn't ask for a novel of advice but maybe there's a PNM reading this who wants to hear it. It's not the end of the world if you don't get into a top tier sorority. If you really want to go Greek, you'll be happy and make the most of whatever house you get into. I promise. Being top tier is not the end all be all. Even girls in top tier houses will tell you that.
