hazing
by: HazeaballsCall me crazy but I am all for hazing so long as people are not singled out or personally humiliated. Yes, there is some hazing that is totally over board. Drinking to point of having alcohol poisoning etc. is totally wrong. But where is the harm in having to earn your way into something? Why is cleaning the fraternity house or doing projects for a weekend harmful? Why is it so bad to have pledge event where the group is called to the mat with the actives for not towing the line socially, academically etc.? There are many constructive ways to apply pressure while not compromising the personal well being of the "new members." From a man's perspective overcoming adversity as a group creates a bond with the people you went through it with. The level of hazing has gotten out of control but that does not mean there should not be a pledge program. After all, in life nothing is just handed to you.
