I have a 2.98 GPA and plan on rushing a fraternity. Are they really strict on 3.0 cutoff's or will I have a chance to get a bid?

I believe the cut off is 2.75.

That being said your GPA will not help you, but if a house likes you they will probably take you.

If you make it past the first round of cuts you will probably be fine. That's when most houses make their grade cuts.
