legacies

by: AXO

So my mom was an AXO at another school so I'm a legacy. However, at her school it was considered a top sorority back then. I don't care about being a legacy and honestly don't want to be an AXO at UA. I would be rushing next year and from what I hear, I would like to be in either Pi phi, Aphi, gamma phi beta, dg or kappa. Would it hurt my chances to be a legacy at AXO even thought it was a different school with a different rep? Can I choose not to say it or would that look bad? Serious please

No one cares dude. Take a chill and just get to know the houses when you get here. Also top house and bottom houses don't really matter it's just if you're in a house or not. Find your place and you're fine.

What you "hear," or rather, what you read on GR, doesn't matter. Don't be THAT PNM. The nice one that didn't get a bid to anywhere, but listened to "tent talk" and decided she'd ONLY accept bids from top tier or upper middle tier groups. Get out of here with that mentality.

These days, there are SO MANY LEGACIES going through recruitment that not even close to half get bids to their legacy chapter. I'm sure your mom would be so pleased to hear you say things about her chapter, even if it was at a different chapter, that she may think you don't deserve to share her letters.

Change your mindset. Get your "recs" in order. You should have them for every group. Meet the women you get recs from, if you don't already know them. Put your best self forward when meeting every chapter during recruitment, and don't you dare turn up your nose at a lower tier house.
