Alpha Phi - ΑΦ Sorority Ratings at UA

I like the few APhi girls I've got to know. But they have been putting down other sororities on social media :/ It sucks and this speaks a lot about them unfortunately

I want to get to know these girls better but they seem so surface level and nobody has really broken that stigma for me but I hope they can

PNM’s … don’t be fooled by petty girls coming on here to tear aphi down. if they were happy in their own house, they wouldn’t be on here criticizing other houses. go through rush and decide which house is for you based on your own experience!

people come on greek rank and always try to tear down the other houses. make up your own mind. i have had a great experience at aphi. everyone has been open and nice. i met my best friends and future bridesmaids! highly recommend greek life and aphi :)

Responding to post below... Maybe you need to reread what you are responding to? The point of the post was telling pnms to go through rush with an open mind, find the right house for them and not look at mean comments about houses on greek rank. I think the only insecure one on here is you.

Responding to the rank below… you’re out of your mind if you think that greek life works so that the kindest most well rounded houses come out on top. Aphi is only top BECAUSE they’re competitive and care about their reps. Sorority rankings are half about what guys like anyway. If guys want to sleep with the girls in your house, you’re considered top regardless of how mean and shallow the sorority is. The other half of a sorority’s success is how much of an it girl persona they can put on to make other girls feel like “I want to be them”. This persona is compromised almost completely of looks, Instagram photos, and guys wanting your sorority around. If you want to feel popular, go for a top house. Doesn’t mean anyone there cares about you. I think the kind of girls who are satisfied by this stuff are the ones who live life as deeply insecure individuals but never acknowledge that part of themselves. They have the audacity to hate on “lower tier” sororities as if they’re not just perpetuating the standards they’re so scared of falling victim to

responding to rank below .. aphi has 260 members and is one of the strongest houses on campus. if any of that were true, aphi wouldn't be the top house at UofA. girls who feel the need to put down other houses on here do it bc they are threatened. I like many other people wanted to be in APhi when I first came to U of A. That was until I realized how awful and competitive the environment would be. These girls are not your sisters, it is all a competition and you never feel fully comfortable. Of course there are some amazing girls in this house but overall this isn't an environment I would recommend to anyone. Just look at the amount of new member classes they had to have this previous year because so many girls dropped.
