what makes a bad sorority pc?

by: Homestead

I’ve seen A LOT of replies to threads saying that ____ had a bad PC this fall- specifically when talking about nusig. What exactly made their pc bad because I was thinking of rushing this semester

IMO a bad PC happens when a sorority loses their top picks to other sororities and most of the PC is made up of girls who didn't get bids to their top choice. If you're in a sorority that rejected those girls it's easy to spot them. In the case of nu sig, as an active greek member you just kind of know the way they recruit - as many pretty/decent girls as possible. So for nu sig when you see they have a really small class made up of girls who aren't your stereotypical "pretty," you know they didn't have a successful recruitment. That's just the first impression, as the semester continues we all hear what the boys think of them and that then gives us a more well rounded idea of their social strength, classiness as well as guys opinion on their looks. Leadership and academics are unfortunately harder to judge, you have to really stand out to get that impression across to another greek organization so those factors aren't often judged on.

Disclaimer, i'm not saying these are the only qualities that makes a successful PC but since the OP asked about Nu Sig it's a fair assessment because those girls are thirsty for top tier status and reality is the popular sororities are judged primarily on looks and social skills which is why Nu Sig recruits the way they do. They used to just recruit for social/quantity but they seem to have started focusing more on looks over the past 2 or so years after getting heckled for being the "brown sorority."

it's a very competitive environment, it is what it is, these traits don't determine how we treat each other in social settings it just plays factor in the way we see the "tiers."

I've met a few of the girls from nusigs fall class and it's obvious they don't want to be there lmao. It seems like nusig recruited rejects who didn't have anywhere else to go. Although their sisterhood looks strong on social media, it really isn't. Save yourself the hassle and rush an international sorority.
