I hope your article will change the tide of the "old" that people lean on at UT. So much has changed. Unfortunately some don't want to believe it, some can't bear to believe and some wish people would just see the light.

Actually part of my article will be focused on my experience of each sorority today, in 2012.

I will be presenting an open and honest journalistic view of the recruitment process, the Greek system, and the individual houses at UT.

The story will be positive toward all the chapters. I believe EVERY sorority has inherent qualities, and excellence within it's membership.

I hope to have as many varied contributors as possible, including the Panhellenic Officers, Rho Chis, actives, and PNMs.

I would really appreciate your support and input. Again, it will be confidential.

Best wishes again for a very successful and FUN recruitment.

Jena

Sounds a little fishy to me.

I don't blame you for being pessimistic but I am a GLO member and I am not going for a 'bash the Greeks' story.

Prudence MacIntosh wrote an article for Texas Monthly in 1976 on sorority 'rush' at UT.

My article is different, but hopefully entertaining, enlightening and informative.

Thank you for the contributions that have come in and I am open for more.

Sorry but all sorority nationals have strict policies about members not speaking to the press. Ladies, you are risking expulsion if you are interviewed. Please consult with your chapter advisor

The only people who spew that things have changed line are the ones who are in the bottom sororities. Denial is more than a river.

I think that sounds like a great idea about the article. It will bring everything up to date.Of course pi phis want to keep the tier system ...it benefits them by keeping everybody thinking they are "lower tier". Marie Antoinette you are not! But it is so silly because nobody sees any thing special about them. IF you ever hear anyone refer to tiers you can be sure it is a pi phi. No surprise. Just let them think what they wnat....I can promise they are nothing special
