You can google “Texas Panhellenic GPA” and easily find the GPA rankings from previous semesters. For Fall 2018, all chapters had between a 3.41-3.5 GPA so you are rushing with a below average GPA for sure. In some houses that will probably make you a “grade risk” and you will probably want to brace for deep cuts after round 1 for that reason.
If there is any “story” that can be spun about your freshman GPA, it would be helpful for your rec writers to include it- ie, first semester 2.5, second semester 4.0 or had a major illness/death in the family/ etc that is out of ordinary for you. There are many sorority women with very challenging majors and excellent GPA’s so you will not have leeway to blame it on that.

Im not sure if i can spin it i had a 3.1 first semester and 3.5 second semester but even with that still brings my accumulative down. Would the houses look at it by semester of just overall
