UT Greek Chapters should charge their members by the month. NOT by the semester. That way members can assess each month if they are getting what they paid for the excessively high membership dues. If not, stop paying them.
That will get the dues skimming Chapter Officers attention.

Each UT Greek Chapter must be AUDITED by the university to remain in compliance.
Allowing 18-22 year old's with financial control over multi-million unaudited budget$ is rite for petty to grand larceny.
REQUIRED university Financial AUDITS each semester is the only answer to stop Chapter Officer skimming. 😱

UT Greek Chapters really crossed the line this year. 😫
Excessively high Chapter Dues.
No carryover excess revenue from last Fall semester.
Chronic Chapter Officer financial skimming.
No Chapter financial audits.
Reduced/cancelled mixers, formals.
then.... NO REFUNDS.
CANCEL MY MEMBERSHIP in this Ponzi Scheme Fraud. 😤

Just got our Chapter Spring Dues Bill...
Almost $5 grand again.
Got less then $1 grand in value for the Fall semester.
No Spring budget description or breakdown.
Just a hard dollar demand deadline or be a ghost for the semester.
Difficult decision.

Why there was at least 8 members always running for Chapter Trea$urer. 🤨 Then 5 or more running for Social Chairman and Prez. The Treasurer has immediate acce$$ to our ca$h account. The Social Chairman can negotiate lower party and supply costs and charge the Chapter full price. The Prez will usually charge the Chapter for a limo and suite at our Fall/Spring formal hotel.
Pressed hard via numerous solicitations for those running for Treasurer last Spring. I now clearly understand why...🙄

The Chapter dues paying members get hosed. 😯
Chapter members realize this by their second semester Sophomore year. 🤔
By then, they run for & win a Chapter officer position or become a ghost. 👻

Just a few mixers, no Spring Break beach house and a formal with a sidewalk band. Our Chapter Officers appear unusually happy? 🤨

The Greek System at UT Austin is a Ponzi $cheme for it's Chapter Officers. They must be skimming at least 25% of the Chapter budget for their personal u$e.

This is my 4th semester as an active. Only two semesters were financially acceptable. After that, it is really gotten out of control.
Our social calendar is spent except for the formal. Maybe I will get about 20% in actual value for I what paid-in dues this semester. Looking like I will be a ghost member next semester.
