Kappa Alpha Theta - ΚΑΘ Sorority at University of Texas at Austin - UT 2.0 Years ago, Theta was one of the most respected and desired houses at UT but today, Theta now has (by far)the worst reputation and are the least respected sorority on campus. Kappa Alpha Theta - ΚΑΘ Sorority at University of Texas at Austin - UT 2.2 My daughter and friends went for a visit this spring and the thetas they stayed with got so drunk they passed out and she had to find someone else to take her and her friends around. Not sure how normal that behavior is but I was not impressed and she was shocked. Worries me for all of their safety in general.

I hate it so much here so the fact that there isn't actually enough housing for my pledge class is actually doing me a favor. Kappa Alpha Theta - ΚΑΘ Sorority at University of Texas at Austin - UT 1.7 So I made a mistake - they made me feel SO special and wanted and the girls that barely noticed me in high school were all over me in rush and made me feel like I was a top girl. I didn't realize they say those things to EVERYONE. I believed it until I started comparing notes with other pledge sisters and seeing it written on everyone's kite at bid day. I was surprised at the type of girls from my area that also had top written on it would also get in and the girls I didn't know well yet I would figure out later weren't the kind of people I expected to be in what I thought at the time was a top house. Yes we had lots of socials with frats but turns out ALL the houses do - and what I thought would be me and my pledge sisters getting ready to go out together because that's what their insta and tiktoks show turned out to be the same mean girl exclusive groups that I lived through in high school. Except half the girls were in other sororities because apparently the rest of us weren't considered cool enough even though we were on what we thought were the right group texts. Fine I can get over that as its about meeting new people. But wish I could have saved myself some tears and gone with my own mind instead of the pressure of what others (and their out of touch mothers) were pushing. Make your own decision but keep your eyes open. They can say what they want about bid day quantity but it wasn't quality. I was stunned and embarassed by the house and pledge class and wish I had dropped out earlier.

Kappa Alpha Theta - ΚΑΘ Sorority at University of Texas at Austin - UT 2.9 Every women in my family has been a theta and I would have been the 5th one had I been accepted into Texas theta. But not only was I dropped I was dropped without even meeting these girls. they dropped me based on a 3 minute video I made for recruitment. I was devastated because my whole life I was brought up surrounded by theta everything and all I wanted was to be sisters with my mom and grandma but I didn’t even get the chance!!!!! I can’t judge Texas theta too much because I never met them but I do know that they recruit before recruitment even begins and I’m pretty sure they have a list of girls they want before rush even starts. It sucks because now I’ll never get to share that with my family. additionally it seems like theta only hangs out with certain other sororities and fraternities and there is a hierarchy.
