Kappa Alpha Theta - ΚΑΘ Sorority at University of Texas at Austin - UT 2.0 It has been a disappointing fall for my daughter- some of the new pledges in her class have formed a clique called “The Committee” and have been caught criticizing everyone else in their pledge class and Hardin. I’ve heard they themselves have terrible reputations in the other houses so why would this be allowed to continue? Hope the upperclassmen can put a stop to it and clean it up to salvage the year. Joining a sorority supposed to be about good sisterhood.

Kappa Alpha Theta - ΚΑΘ Sorority at University of Texas at Austin - UT 3.4 It works out and i'm fine here - big variety of girls for sure but all the houses mix together anyway so it works out and I have friends in all the houses anyway. We have lots from out of state so legacies actually do help here even though not supposed to matter.

Kappa Alpha Theta - ΚΑΘ Sorority at University of Texas at Austin - UT 1.2 Let's be very clear. Theta used to be included in top 6 because they were exclusive, meaning coveted because they were among the first to market and lucky enough to be mentioned in an article with Pi Phi and Kappa. Now 95% of Thetas are connected with each other via family and friends. The fact that they almost exclusively hang out with SAE tells you this is not a club to join to meet 500 people but to stay with the 50-75 you grew up with. Are there exceptions? Sure. Many? No, not at all. So if you want to feel inferior with your one boyfriend, your morals and religious beliefs by all means, Godspeed but unless you literally do not care what they think of you, you will feel isolated and judged even though they may hardly notice you. And this is not just Theta but it is very visible at Theta. There is a reason why so many girls dropped and/or don't hang with their pledge class. I have it on good authority that they already have their PC23 ready to go. Rush is a mirage at Theta and good for them. Honestly. Not hating, I have a couple of Theta friends that are solid as gold but we need to be honest to the poor girl from the Christian school who is getting her hopes up by instagram posts.
