Does rank actually matter for sororities?

by: ?

If I go through rush and only have "bottom" sororities, is it worth being in them, or would it be better to just not join greek life at all?

if u care about sisterhood, philanthropy, and getting a larger social network stay! rush is about finding girls that u mesh well with, not girls who's instagram aesthetics will match urs best

no matter what, as a girl you can go to and talk to guys from any frat! honestly it’s more about who you mesh well with and each sorority has different values, even if they are higher ranked than others. no matter what you are going to meet girls that are mean, really pretty, weird, nice, etc in every sorority so it’s really more what you are looking for and who you bond with

As someone who rushed and thought the same thing but ended up staying, I love the sorority I am in. I have some of my best friends in it and always have fun when I want. Party wise you can still go to all the frats. Frat boys and pledges let any girl in the door.

A lot goes into rankings that isn't necessarily important (like the attractiveness of the girls and other random stuff). You really have to make a decision based on what sorority you vibe with. Rankings change over time and no one ever agrees 100% on rankings because they're subjective. I wouldn't make your whole decision based on that.
