Sorority Tiers Breakdown

Here is a breakdown of sorority tears:

The top consists of two groups, usually known as the top 5. The elite: DDD/APhi and the desirables: AXO/SK/Kappa. For winter 2020, pretty much everyone wanted in one of those five. The lucky ones that had choices among those five could be selective to try and find the right "match"; but other girls went into one of the top five without considering which would be the best fit (and that's why some of the top houses have critics ... from girls that probably should have 'settled' for a 'middle' srat that was better for them).
Middle houses like ChiO/Adpi/Aephi/Zeta/DG (not always in that order) have a good mix and different feels/types of girls. While sometimes you get an A-listed than got blacklisted/slipped through the cracks, each house will have a balance of personalities. Plenty of great options.
The bottom six may not be popular, and def don't have the same looks/pgp or reputation/status on campus, but I know a lot of cool, fun, smart girls, esp in SDT, PiPhi and even GPhi.
