retention issues?????
by: Gphi&ZTAI’ve heard both GPhi and ZTA have pretty significant retention issues. Can anyone elaborate on why? Neither are SUPER far away, so I don’t feel like “the house is just so far” would be the reason.

They both get a lot of excellent women who were on the fence about going Greek in the first place. (The ones that thought they would try it out because why not). Then, when they realize exactly how much it costs they decide they don’t want to keep paying. However, the women that stay through their graduation end up being really close and care a lot about the chapter’s success - often taking advisor positions or coming back for alumnae events.

The problem with the "middle-mid" sororities like DG, Zeta, AEPhi is that a lot of the girls had a top or upper mid house as their top choice but didn't get a bid, so they "settled" for a mid tier, and not because they actually clicked with the house. That's a recipe for insecurity which leads to drama, and a recipe for a not so great sisterhood.
