Got told about all of this and I had to hop on. I love the gaslighting in the paid positive response below. Imagine guilt tripping sisters and insisting that this is all the sister's fault. They ignored all of the illegal activity and bullying behind the scenes. I'm thinking about leaving soon too lol. There's a reason the turnover rate is so high. Being told to 'raise money' is fine but i wish we would disclose it during recruitment so members don't have to pay the bill themselves because no one donates to those things except parents... Also last semester a lot of us were only told to raise money one week before the deadline. In all ive made a few friends but I could have done that organically and skipped this whole mess..

I wonder how much money they just paid that member to post that “honest” review. We all know chapter is ridiculous and the worst sorority on campus so don’t try to sugar coat it. Everyone’s too busy doing frat laps and going to frat parties to even fix the issues themselves.

Being a Delta Zeta through this recruitment experience has been really eye opening to me. I thought our sisterhood was based on friendship and belonging, but all I’m experiencing is fake personalities that drop the second we get our new members. Everyone in chapter acts like we have the best sisterhood, when in reality everyone hates each other. Drama is created for absolutely no reason and it’s exhausting to be around each other. I thought I found a group of women who I could call my friends, but all I can call them are backstabbers. Sorry to any and all new incoming new members, you’re in for a rough ride.

Aoiis are nice but the majority of their chapter is very quiet and pretty antisocial so it’s hard to actually know them. honestly i wanted to cob aoii but i just felt so awkward talking to them and they are SOOOO expensive. like if i wanted to drop a bag on a sorority i would’ve gone to a bigger school

Definitely some of the nicest, most outgoing girls on campus. Out of the sororities they definitely are my favorite. They are genuine, classy, and very involved on campus. They definitely show the positive sides of going greek.

AOII is the smallest sorority on campus with the worst retention. Very inclusive though, but a lot of people say it's because they have such a hard time getting girls so they take anyone. They are VERY expensive, and their campus involvement went down drastically when the class of 2020 graduated in the spring. Little involvement now and the newer classes a cliquey. They were the only sorority to not meet quota in formal recruitment this year. The girls are nice though!

AOII has given so many amazing opportunities in chapter. As an active I’ve been able to come out of my shell. A lot of the people who have left chapter seem to only express the issues they had with chapter, but they didn’t want to be apart of the solution. I’ve seen members leave and be negative because “it wasn’t the experience they expected”, because they had to raise money or do service hours or attend meetings. But as a member of Greek life completing philanthropic work, doing service hours, attending meetings, and much is a well known thing about what being a sorority includes. You also get the benefits of going to socials and mixers, having a formal and/or semi formal, and some fantastic sisterhood events! A lot of the members who complain don’t want to offer a solution to help better their time in chapter. Your experience is what you make it. If you are constantly late, not going to things, not raising money, not doing service hours, not doing study hours, and not going to things or participating, then that is the experience YOU have created for yourself. It’s not the organization or members fault. AOII is such a great place to call home, and I love being a member who gets to participate in all these amazing things that we have to offer. Joining AOII has been the best choice I’ve ever made because I made my experience as enjoyable and beneficial as possible.
