snap bids

Do snap bids come from sororities who previously cut you? Can someone explain how this works? Could I pref 3 and then end up getting a completely different one?

I can't speak for all sororities but if you were cut from mine, we can't offer you a snap bid according to our bylaws. We can only offer snapbids to girls that were invited back at least 2 rounds and dropped recruitment

Snap bids are only eligible for people who do not attend bid day and aren't offered a bid from anywhere. You can't pref 3 places, rank them, and then go to bid day and get a snap bid from somewhere else. You have to drop in earlier rounds or right after pref round in order to be able to receive a snap bid. Even if you attend bid day, and decide to not take a bid from where you got, you still can't get a snap bid because PHA makes you wait a year after you receive a bid to get another.

also adding, just because you drop from somewhere doesn't mean you'll get a snap bids. those happen mostly for girls who were dirty rushed
