is it important to go to sorority open houses?

I'm planning on doing formal recruitment in the spring so is it important to go to the sorority fall and winter open houses? Like do you actually get to meet the girls and become friends with them? I just can't decide if it's worth it/would actually have an impact in the spring

It gives you an idea of what the sorority is like in a more relaxed environment and you definitely get a leg up on other PNMs if you're rushing a more competitive sorority

It's definitely worth going to! You get a better feel of the sorority during the open houses in a more relaxed setting. I think it helps you figure out where you feel comfortable and makes spring recruitment a lot less intimidating.
