Which houses hide members during recruitment?
by: WonderingI heard it’s a thing that some houses hide girls that have gained weight or don’t look as put together as others during recruitment. I’ve heard APhi for sure has done this in the past, any others?

All sororities have face girls. These are the ones they post constantly on their IG leading up to rush. Face girls get paired with the top PNMs and non face girls ( the ones they “hide” ) get paired with girls that are getting cut day one cause of GPA.
Every single house does this

I disagree. Everyone’s Instagrams are designed to make them look a accepting and inclusive. All girls look average in looks to me. (At least as far as their Instagrams go)

this is absolutely not true for all sororities the sorority i’m in posts a variety of girls on our insta and we don’t hide ANYONE literally everyone does front door stack because it happens randomly as we go. don’t join a sorority with “face girls” (;

While the op is ridiculous, just wanted to point out that not every active is at recruitment events. And not because the house wants to keep them “hidden” ( if they are so embarrassed by a member they would have never given them a bid. Shocker: there’s more to a person then their physical appearance)
There are some actives who are upper class education or nursing majors and have class commitments and just can’t make it.
Some actives are on decor committees and come in after recruitment day and are up all night decorating. Some actives are on food committee & are picking up & setting up meals for actives throughout the day.
So yeah, on bid day you may meet someone you haven’t met before, and it’s not cause a house was hiding them.

In my house you volunteer for clean up, decor etc (not a low tired house). You are not assigned

I'm an alum, but I was a Theta "back of the house girl". If you are heavier or not as hot as others you will never make front of the house to meet PNMs. This was frustrating and embarrassing but as an undergrad it was important to me to be in this house. To do it all over again, I would have gone to a house that loved ME and my excellent grades.
