Alpha Gamma Delta - ΑΓΔ Sorority at University of Alberta - UA 4.2 So I’m not in AGD. But I respect them a lot! They were actually second on my list below my chapter, and I went to their pref night. Great girls. I don’t think the “nuttiness” is so much about looks though. Or really a bad thing. When I think of a girl as “nutty”, personally I think think really really peppy, eager, and creative. Maybe even hyper but in the BEST way. It just means excited. Which is great! And so true to this chapter too :) but I just wanted to say that. They’re great. But I don’t think the people who would categorize them as nutty really mean it about looks. I think every chapter has a few specific defining words people like to use for them. In my mind, AGD is nutty (in a good way), open, and always up for some fun. The same way people will categorize Pi Phi as quieter, unproblematic, and loving (I just know I could always ask many of their girls for a hug when I need it, even if I don’t know them!). Every chapter has their words people like to use to describe them :) but AGD is nutty for sure, but in the best way! And I like that, because it matches their squirrel mascot, and how they call themselves the nuthouse. It’s a cute label to use for fun! ❤️

Alpha Gamma Delta - ΑΓΔ Sorority at University of Alberta - UA 4.4 As someone who has actually gone through recruitment this year, I would like to say the girls from AGD were all very respectful and welcoming towards all PNMs. They honestly seem to wear their hearts on their sleeves, which people may take advantage of. I don’t really understand why people classify their authenticity as “nuttiness,” but I guess those are the same people who believe looks are what define a chapter’s worth.

Alpha Gamma Delta - ΑΓΔ Sorority at University of Alberta - UA 4.4 I rushed Alpha Gamma Delta this year and all of the girls in chapter seemed like really kind, genuine people. From what I can see, they have a great sense of sisterhood and I would love to see more involvement from them within the greek community!

Alpha Gamma Delta - ΑΓΔ Sorority at University of Alberta - UA 1.0 Anyone else suspicious as to why every other year AGD seems to lose a ton of new members? Heard a rumor 5 have already dropped this year. Yikes. Sounds like the cat fishing comments here were right if their retention is this bad. Girls wanting to rush here, beware.

Alpha Gamma Delta - ΑΓΔ Sorority at University of Alberta - UA 2.2 It’s not that I have a problem with them or they’re bad. They just don’t seem to try to do much. They post about doing a lot, especially about different social movements, but then do nothing on a chapter level. I think they have a lot of good ideas. Just wish they’d use them and go forward with them! And better sisterhood within the panhel community would definitely help that. Why not plan an exchange with one of your fellow sororities? Play a game! Have some fun and love the other chapters. Not just pick out what’s better about you and stick with that

Alpha Gamma Delta - ΑΓΔ Sorority at University of Alberta - UA 4.0 Does anyone making these comments understand how recruitment works? You typically get invited back to two houses after visiting with each of the four houses. You then have to rank the final two houses in preference of what you want. Please tell me how they are getting all the leftovers when you literally need to rank that sorority as one of your top two favourites, if not number one, to even be offered a bid? It’s not like all of the girls that didn’t receive a bid suddenly get to join any sorority they want, in this case AGD as guys are claiming. It doesn’t work that way. Calling people “leftovers” is a pretty cruel and not at all how it works.
