SK is super involved on campus, and seems to have a very close sisterhood. They probably party the most out of all the sororities.

I LOVE SK GIRLS! their panhell delegate made cakes for every sorority on campus! how sweet is that! always willing to lend a hand, great philanthropy, and their new president will do AMAZING things with this chapter. So excited to be on campus with this group of lovely ladies!

This fall I was a member of Sigma Kappas pledge class. Unfortunately, I was one of the pledges that needed to drop. Despite what all of the rumors are saying, my decision to drop was for financial reasons. I dont know of any pledge that dropped for anything but financial reasons. It had nothing to do with the sorority itself. In fact, the girls of SK have continued to be friends with me and the other pledges that dropped, even though we are no longer apart of their sisterhood. Thats special.

I have been a sister of Sigma Kappa for three years and it honestly sickens me to read whats been posted on this website. The majority of these "rankings and comments" come from members of the greek system in different houses putting down their "rivals" to make themselves look better. What has been posted on this website does not represent Illinois Wesleyan University properly, the one thing we all have in common. Instead, it makes the greek system population look unintelligent and immature.

Jealousy runs wild at IWU and SK always seems to get negative comments because of it. Honestly, their house is made up of so many different types of girls that it's impossible to think of any other stereotype for them. They have a strong, supportive sisterhood and actually get along, unlike a couple of the houses on campus. A big presence on campus because of athletics, extra-curriculars, and their philanthropy events gives them a positive perception from outside of greek life.

SK has some of my best friends and some girls that I'd rather not be around. Their values seem to lie around being social, competing in greek activities, and their philanthrophy Bags tournament. Their competitiveness sometimes gets in the way of their kindness towards other sororities. A lot of the girls are really great once you get to know them.

I heard they paid a sisters dues (almost $1,00) so she could become an alumnae and still participate as a sister after her family began struggling financially. That's sisterhood.
