ultimate fraternity breakdown- spring 19

by: greekPHD

PANTHEON OF ELITES:
1. LXA: Strong social semester and the best sorority relations. Although, this number #1 spot will likely be heavily contested in the next semester as other top houses with better brotherhoods are off suspension. A
2. SX: Well-defined sorority relations and a strong brotherhood cement SX spot in the coveted top 3. Good leadership seems to have recovered SX's social scene. We will see how they continue to adapt to a changing Greek Row. A
3. TKE: When TKE is in full-force they will likely force a rise, however, this has not happened yet as this semester seemed slightly slow, but nothing at all to scoff at coming straight off probation. A-
--SHRINKING GAP--
GOLD TIER:
4. SN & AEPI: Neither frat has the edge on the other. AEPI had a stronger social semester with MATOMA at their register as well as securing homecoming with Theta. However, with the loss of their house, Sig Nu finds equal ground, with stronger brotherhood, a better pledge class, and good parties. B+
5. ZBT & SAMMY: Although Sammy had the edge on ZBT last semester, their suspension has caused them to equalize. ZBT's inability to capitalize on this semester has furthered the upper-mid logjam. As always, the two have comparable brotherhood levels, but Sammy seems to be able to throw much better parties, while ZBT has better sorority relationships. We will see if Sammy's new house can secure a rise and if ZBT can manage their size to produce results. B
--MEDIUM GAP--
VIABLE TIER:
6. PIKE: Although Pike's PC was less than desirable, they have been utilizing their new house with much better vision, throwing a decent array of parties. A rise is on the horizon for this low-mid frat if the house culture continues to develop in the right direction. B-
7. Phi Delt: Although Phi Delt is on a seemingly endless slump, their victory over Phi Sig in securing homecoming with Tri-delt gives them the upper hand. If Phi Delt can raise the quality of their PC's while continually throwing good parties, like this semester, they may be able to exit their recession. C+
8. Phi Sig: Phi Sig has exited the pantheon of forgotten fraternities, slowly moving into the low tier social scene, even establishing a niche in that range of sorority relations, while throwing adequate parties, while nothing too special. Phi Sig has comparable PC's with some of the fraternities above (Pike and Phi Delt), but the growth must be sustained and not momentary. C+
--LARGE GAP--
IRRELEVANT TIER:
All other fraternities

BIGGEST RISES: AEPI/PIKE

Best Registers:
1. EZOO
2. Olympus
3. Takeoff
4. Hamptons
5. Tahiti

While it was an extremely close race this year, EZOO was one of their only parties. Thus, they were able to put much more resources into it. However, each of those five parties neck and neck with each other.
