can a second year get a good sorority bid?

Kind of. You definitely have a good chance of getting in a top srat if you have a good GPA, already know some people in Greek life, and you’re overall a well rounded girl… etc. That being said, a lot of the chapters prefer giving bids to 1st years because they would have more years being in the sorority and it’s a big Greek life tradition. Def look into COB if you think you want to join before formal rush :) I rushed as a 2nd yr and had the best experience ever!! Wish you the best

Many people do 5 or even 6 years due to changing majors, co-op, exchange, etc.
