does it actually matter what sorority you’re in?

Trust me when it comes down to it no one cares what chapter you’re in as long as you yourself are fun to be around. Have fun with your new sisters and give them a chance - that’s what I did and I’m so happy I stayed where I am. Girls in my chapter have even dropped top 4 and rushed again to join us so I don’t think it’s all sunshine and roses up there either. Just go with the flow and make the best of it, it’ll be worth it :)

Yeah I agree. Frats will still like if you if you are a cool individual, and you might even get invited to more things being the big fish in a small pond rather than a small fish in a big pond. Please don't drop!!!! You'll be happy in a couple years you joined a chapter based on the girls you clicked with rather than the reputation when times get tough.

I had a similar feeling when I first joined, but as you start to get to know the girls you’re with, you feel more at home, and eventually you realize that the crappy comments people make on Greek rank, are coming from a place of hate. Don’t let yourself on this website it’s honestly toxic. Those girls are there for you no matter what, and I totally agree, in a couple years you will be so happy you joined because of the girls and not the rep the others give them. If you’re worried about frat relations, trust me they don’t even care what sorority you are in. People who care about those sort of things are shallow and stuck in their high school ways, and they don’t deserve the attention you give them. You can make tons of friends throughout ubc sororities and fraternities, and your sorority letter isn’t going to matter. Don’t drop! Keep hanging out with those girls and see where it leads you!
