lgbt members in sororities

I'm thinking of doing recruitment next year but as a lesbian woman I'm not sure how welcoming sororities are to LGBT members. Are you required to have male dates for events? I'm afraid of being alienated if everyone in the sorority just thinks I'm trying to hit on them when I'd just want to make friends

I am out in my sorority and have never had a bad reaction from anyone i've told. i've also taken my girlfriend to events and no one has ever been anything but welcoming! I highly encourage you to go through recruitment!

Not in the rich high end sororities like kappa gamma phi and adpi

any sorority would be happy to have you. Helps them with the diversity card.

Being in ADPi myself, I know for fact that all of my sisters are so loving and would be more than welcoming of you for exactly who you are and choose to date! Same goes for seriously every other sorority woman I've met :)
