bids
by: questionDoes every PNM get a bid? Or are there some girls that don't get one at all?

However, this year will likely be very different since Alpha Phi is colonizing. I doubt everyone will be "promised a bid" from one of the houses they have left if they maximize their options.
However I do agree that suiciding is a terrible idea. Rush tends to be a shallow process, but bid day is when you actually get to see people be themselves. If you get a bid to a house you weren't in love with during rush, go to bid day & stick around for a while to see what the girls are like outside of rush. There's no benefit to refusing to associate with a group of girls you didn't like during rush, but you might end up loving a house you thought you wouldn't like if you give them a chance.

There is no benefit. The only reason to do it would be if you really hate one of the houses you have left on pref and would rather be independent than be in that house. However, the girls that do this risk getting a call from their gamma chi saying not to come to bid day because their suicide house didn't give them a bid (happened to someone I know last year). I would not recommend this at all; just go to bid day at whatever house you get and give the girls a chance
