Sophomore/Junior PNM Chances

I heard that there is a separate quota for sophomores is that true? Meaning I would t be competing with the freshman but you have spots set aside for older girls. I graduated high school with enough credits to classify me as a Junior though and didn’t rush last year. Do I even have a chance? What do I need to do to stand out? Recs, GPA, etc…?
