In Delta Gamma, I learned that I’m beyond acceptance. It felt like I was back in middle school - the irredeemable “weird kid” who actually wasn’t all that different from anyone else. They sell you this idea of sisterhood that just isn’t there for everyone. I spent my whole time there hoping it would get better, but it never did. I wish I had dropped; keeping up with their arbitrary rules and mandatory events was such a burden. If you are considering greek life, keep this in mind: it can be great for some people. If you want to try it, go for it. Just be critical about what you’re actually getting out of it and if it doesn’t serve you, leave.

dgs are definitely fun to be around. I know most of them through working on campus. There chapter just has a lot of younger girls. they seem to like each other for the most part

Delta Gammas are some of the sweetest girls I know!! They always seem to help each other and those not in their sorority too. A lot of them are super involved, and can easily be spotted on campus

These girls have always been so sweet even to me (who is an outsider). I am truly considering going through recruitment this year as a sophomore because of this chapter!

Greek rank doesn’t really give an accurate look into Greek life. Take everything you read from every chapter with a grain of salt, and go into recruitment with an open mind!

They still continued their philanthropy event right after someone had an asthma attack and had to be transported onto an ambulance. Also, they allowed someone with asthma to participate. Disgusting.

You do realize the girl is on the cheer team and is a base, which is one of the hardest things to do in cheer AND she wanted to participate in the competition
