"top house" frats and srats have more white people than "low house" frats and stats. can anyone explain why?

People forget that there are several active cultural frats/srats on campus. If you are a minority, you probably know people in these. A large proportion of UIUC’s Greek life are in cultural fraternities and sororities.

I would understand top houses being more white in a school like Alabama but a school as diverse as U of I, why is there still underrepresented minorities in Greek life? I feel like top houses will have that one token person of color just to promote diversity when they are literally one of four people of color in the chapter. Does having more white people make a house top?

Have to say it mainly comes down to looks first and followed up with social skills/personality, a hot sociable woc is very likely to have multiple options on this campus if she wants to join a top srat. If!!!!

My experience has been that racial and cultural diversity is welcome here across all Greek level tiers, unattractive or being socially awkward not so much. Recruitment can be insensitive and superficial, you are judged harshly on looks but not on race

Bottom houses attract most unattractive girls of all races. If you are a hot woc, you have choice of srats here of all tiers, particularly the top ones. If you are unattractive/overweight & socially awkward, say hello to lower tiers. Not a race thing at all.

Pi phi and AEPhi are paying to delete negative reviews on their respective sites so who knows the motivation for either them or anyone else deleting these comments, so quick to accuse the upper houses who truly don’t need to pay for good feedback

hmm interesting how comments about the top houses here keep getting deleted?? DG, Theta, quit deleting the comments about you, and work on building a more diverse pledge class.(& quit trying to blame other houses for it. who else would have the incentive to pay to deleted negative comments about other houses???)
