what does social probation mean/entail?
by: TI've heard rumors that there is a sorority that was put on social probation for the year. Is this something I should take into account when rushing? or is it not a big deal?

also... they can still go to date events, bar crawls, formals etc etc for the year. social probo doesn't stop that.... pretty sure tri delts still go out plenty lol

Social probation is a BIG deal. Possible new pledges should know all the facts. Please do not go around saying things that you don't know anything about. Since I don't know how this will affect the house, I would encourage PNMs to find out. At some schools, the house cannot have any social functions unless they are associated with a philanthropy.

Yes. They cannot have any social functions. Exchanges, pregames, barn dance, semi formals, bar crawls, etc. PNMs all have the right to ask this and they can’t lie.

I'm friends with a bunch of tri delts and they're some of the funnest and coolest girls on campus. social probation will not change that I'm pretty sure of it.
