Greek life is the only way to make social connections in order to go out in the bars and it’s fairly cheap definitely worth it but not SEC level

Greek life is extremely prevalent here at TXST. Walking around campus your bound to see letters being worn or greek organizations doing something in the quad. There is said to be hazing amongst the fraternities and even a handful of the top sorority houses have been said to haze. Albeit, not many of these rumors have been 100% confirmed, it’s quite easy to assume it’s like any other fair sized university’s greek life. Hazing is unfortunately a known part of the greek world no matter how much they deny or dodge it.

Greek life is a big part of txst, which comes with major fraternity hazing. If you want to be Greek, it’s not going to be easy. I’ve heard some pretty brutal stories about pledgeship

Greek life at txst is very different from other campuses. A lot of fraternities have been kicked off campus. But honestly the frat parties are the best thing about txst in my opinion.

Greek life at txst has some major problems they need to address if they want people to rush

Fewer organizations means its harder to get bids. School cracks down but hazing still happens. RIP TXST Greek life.

Texas State is pretty average at most things including Greek life. Sorority houses are nicer than fraternity houses and hazing is common with the frats

There are a bunch of fraternities and only a few sororities on campus. The upper tier and top tier fraternities and sororities have the biggest advantage over everyone else since they have been around the longest and have the most tradition. There are only a few "old" chapters and many new ones. The school is starting to destroy Greek life at TXST and making it not what it use to be. Only a few chapters are hard to get into and still haze. Make Texas State Greek Life Great Again.
