Double dipping theta society and real chapters
by: CuriousSince theta society isn’t a real sorority and even if theta did come back nationals would not recognize any of the theta society members as members and none will be passing any legacy status to anyone…can you go through recruitment and be in a chapter and also be in ts?

My suggestion for ALL Participants in 2023 Recruitment: Since SMU Panhellenic/IFC and Theta National are closely monitoring for any "underground/illegitimate" activities for any "off shoots" of Theta...or this "Faux Theta Society" as is being called, one is best off in the end to "Follow The Rules!"
As it says in the Bible: "A Man Cannot Serve 2 Masters!"

Nope, you would be found out and your real sorority would pull your pin faster than you can say GDI. IDK what advantage anyone imagines there would be in joining a non-sorority "club" that the school may make illegal to be affiliated with. At worst you would be in trouble with the school, at best you would be viewed as desperate and pitiful. Can you imagine after graduation trying to explain that you were in "Theta Society"? You would be judged and actually laughed at behind your back.

Since UT Austin admission requirements of SAT scores need to have at least a 1470 score on a scale of 1600; applicants with an SAT score below 1340 have a hard chance of getting into the University.
SMU has an acceptance range of 1300-1480. Therefore, many of the Influencers or "Theta Society" wannabees probably wouldn't make the "Cut" to get into UT Austin.
