Honestly, SAE is falling off. They only use their name and behomoth of a house to constantly claim "top tier" status but tbh they are all kind of douchebags with bowl cuts, and half are overweight. They got in fights with both fiji and phi delt this year, further proving their devotion to strictly caring about their status while simultaneously hurting their relations with the other two top fraternities on campus. And #strawgate doesnt help. Of course theyre still top tier, and tradition and money will always keep them there, but they really arent doing anything to help themselves and I wouldnt be surpised if they eventually do slip.

The sophomore class has so many hot guys it’s ridiculous. Great guys too. We have so much fun together. The guys are also more friendly unlike FIJIs who will talk to you for a minute and ask you to come back home with them. SAEs will actually talk to you and be your friend.

Good fraternity. Definitely the party animal fraternity along with Fiji. The best "texas" style fraternity on campus. They are known as southern gentlemen. They have fun parties and have a very tight brotherhood. They hail mostly from Atlanta, Nashville, and Texas. However they can be a bit too rowdy at times. Lots a dad bods. Whenever they go out they kinda stick to themselves. They all look like clones and seem obsessed with themselves and move together in packs. Wanna spot one on campus? Here you go: bowl cut hairstyle, sunglasses with croakies, a striped collared shirt, khaki shorts, and new balances.

The SAE's have been the dregs of fraternities at SMU for years. The comment that they are living on money and past reputations is exactly right. People may soon realize that for forty years they have been Somebody Anybody Everybody!
