How does zone work?

by: Freshman

I get what they are, but can anybody explain what actually goes on behind the scenes during them? I've had current PSU guys tell me that they can be pretty exclusive and hard to understand (e.g., good conversations and such on these days but no invite to rush). As someone wanting to get into a good house but lacking immediate connections (OOS, first-gen) is there anything important I should know when going into this?

Just be yourself and talk to as many brothers as you can, your goal is to get taken into a second room where you can write your name down for the next events but don’t bring it up to them or ask to get on it

anything more to it than that? i imagine its different between houses and maybe not talked about but ive heard multiple times that getting to the back room hardly guarantees an invite. besides just vibing, do top houses check ur socials, expect you to know brothers, or something along those lines?

Yes they will probably check you out on socials but if you make a good impression on them at the house you’ll be fine. Obviously knowing brothers helps but it’s definitely not necessary to get a good bid somewhere
