dear new girls

Congrats on pushing through the awfulness of rush and becoming part of a sorority. Whether it was the one you really wanted or not, you made a great decision to at least give Greek life a try. If you are upset with where you landed, I urge you to at least give your sorority three weeks before dropping. Hang out with your pledge class and go to chapter. Pay no attention to Greek rank because it truly does not matter and what tier you are in is irrelevant. The sorority I joined when I was at Penn State was not the one I originally wanted, but gave me the best friends and experience I could ever ask for. Signed, a jealous alumni that wishes she could go greek all over again
