A friend told me that her daughter was pledging Phi Mu. My first comment was REALLY? I pledged another Top 5 ranked sorority (according to Greek Rank) in the early 2000s, and back then Phi Mu was so-so, depending on what girls came through recruitment and stayed through pledging to be initiated. I looked up pictures on FB and her daughter's FB, and WOW have things changed! Your girls are beautiful, dresses are a little short for my taste but I guess that is the new look, but as OP said-Impressed

Pretty, nice, smart girls. I like how they are very friendly to the non-Greek community. It makes us actually consider pledging for the first time.

Cool girls but some have real foul potty mouths. Looked at their twitter accounts and couldn't believe that a sorority held in such high regard would be so distasteful, not everyone, but as you know, it only takes one to bring down a dynasty. Look at Sandusky.

NICKNAMES : PM-PHI-MU This is on the info section of this website. All of these seem to coomon names used to refer to ladies in the chapter, but one of the girls on my floor pledged and said Phis are called when they are pledging. So the poster who refered to a sister down south, in my opinion, is legit. In any case, I'm pledging in the Spring, and am leaning towards PHi Mu. Don't know if I should go through Rush, or does Phi Mu do COB?

NEW ON GREEKRANK
By: SeniorPosted:
Not greek but have 2 roommates that are. One is cool as hell, the other is just hell. You guess which is Phi Mu and which isn't. Not interested in joining because I'm a senior and just trying to get the hell out of here but forum came up in search field. The reason why non greeks stay non greeks is the pettiness among greeks. There were 2 posts which smells of the same person, maybe even my other roommate that was just hating for no reason. One was just "wtf." Concentrate on you and your chapter

Just read through all these reviews for the top 8 sorority houses after social. Very interesting how the tides have changed since a few reprimands were handed out to some of the chapters. Anyway, Well deserved ranking. I'm not sure but previous poster said Phis are sisters but I think Phis are pledges, not susters. So, the story about having a sister down south is a lie. I think we talked about this earlier this week. Anyway, if a Phi Mu is reading this, please enlighten us.

This house reminds me of the story about The Little Engine That Could. "I Think I Can. I Think I Can." Little by little they crept back on top. Last pledge class took them over the concrete wall.

Sitting next to one of the sisters if the chapter on the bus back from break. I wanted to see how they were rank. Very interesting comments. 90% accurate. Some I suspect are from other sororities who may be a little peeved. HaHa.

Great bunch of girls with a really good looking pledge class coming in fall 2012. Very friendly and down to earth.
