dropping out of society?

how often does this happen? I'm personally having second thoughts about continuing with the society since I don't know if I want to dedicate so much of my senior year to these rather random rising seniors. I have a very strong friend group and most of them are not doing societies and I would rather spend time with them.

But also feel there's a pressure to do this "experience" (I'm aware this is irrational)
