Omg the “mid tier” with 6 houses. Yes it’s true that you need an angle / connection for kappa/theta so sure that’s top. Aphi/piphi cross friend groups with each other and kappa/theta but weren’t as cute/rich/athletic/unique so I guess they are mid tier. Most girls that want those 4 don’t vibe at tridelt or chio so drop if they don’t get one of the first four. Or bottom just different. That’s about it.

new chapters have a tough time getting respect but a phi is getting good girls whether the old guard that puts out these rankings accepts it or pretends it’s not happening.

I think the challenge is historically awesome girls who don’t get top 3 dropped out. But that is def changing recently. There’s just a lot more than 100 great girls who wanna go Greek. There are 75 girls in rowing alone. There’s room for more strong houses

This. There is more demand than the 100 or so spots in historically top houses. It’s nearly impossible to get in if you don’t already know the girls. Just look at lkkg. Their class was almost all athletes from just a few teams plus some woc to balance it out. Or theta who took a huge group of semi-random girls who lived together off campus and went to
Hs with older members. Pi phi
took an entire hall of wealthy international girls and then snap bid another dozen random girls who got cut previously which is atypical. Bottom line there’s a need for more than three strong houses on campus.

This is purely based on reputation and not membership. Reminds me of bamarush with the old row and new row. People in old row won’t acknowledge some frats and stats in new row are better Bc they live in the past and like the air of being elite.
