Sigma Alpha at SIUC has done a great job at building itself up in less than a year. In fact, they had a recruitment class of 18 last spring, the top GPA last semester, and they received various national awards. As a professional sorority on campus, they're hard to compare to others, however, they have done a variety of community service, participated in Greek and non-greek events on campus, maintained impressive academic standings, and they've grown closer together as sisters. You might not think you've seen a Sigma Alpha at a social, however, that's just because they're not allowed to drink in letters! Sigma Alpha seems to be a very valuable experience for its members.

I mean they're fine and all but I'm surprised they're still on campus. They have like three girls in their sorority and i never see any of them hoping out. I am surprised that they just got such a big pledge group for informal though so maybe there is hope?

So active and helpful around the community. I love these girls and would give my life for them! They let me pipe on the first night and then made me breakfast the next morning. Super wet.

You have to remember they are an professional agricultural sorority. These women share the love of agriculture and professionalism. They are very different from other sosorites but that is the way the sorority is supposed to be. They do not drink at socials but that is because of the professionalism. They are very kind and down to earth women.
