help!

Hi! I'm thinking of applying to UK in the fall and definetly want to join a sorority. I am coming from New York but love all things country. I have a sort of low overall high school gpa (weighted 3.2) but without freshman year (family issues) I would have a 3.6 weighted. If I do decide to come to Kentucky, will my gpa hurt me? Also will coming from out of state hurt me as well?
