Hey girl, going through rush? It’s a stressful time, and recruitment hasn’t even started yet! Spending your days lurking through sororities instagrams? Which one has the cutest photos? The most skinny blonde girls?

Lemme tell you something
(It really doesn’t matter)

Here’s some helpful recruitment tips from a sorority girl at Sam:

-be yourself. It’s cliche, but if you want to find the most genuine sisterhood, one that will last you an entire lifetime, go in to every house with an open mindset and you’ll find the perfect one for you
-look presentable, but still use your own unique sense of self to make you stand out in a crowd! Trust me, we’re more accepting than we look
-be happy! Happy to be there, happy to talk to new people. I know it’s stressful, but try to have a little fun! It’ll be over before you know it.
-keep your mind open. Many girls go into recruitment set on a certain house, I WAS ONE OF THOSE GIRLS, but at the end of the day, allow yourself to see where you really feel at home. I promise you won’t regret it.

I’m not preaching that none of these ranks matter, sure, some houses have ‘prettier’ girls or go out more often.
But please keep your mind open to the possibilities of thriving within YOUR group of girls.
