by: ?Does national presence really matter? Would I be given a job on Wall Street if one of the people at the company is a member of the same frat from a different college?

having connections helps but not having a national doesn't mean there isn't a large/successful alumni presence. and unless the alum in the frat has total control over hiring and is down to do that, connections mostly get your foot in the door or can get your application fast tracked
