Sorority Advice
by: newbieHey! I'm an incoming freshman at W&M and am debating rushing in the fall. The main reason I'd rush is to have a social life as well as events to make new friends at. I'm also considering pledging a D9 sorority but I know they don't party much and there are strict member rules, but I like their community involvement. If I'm looking to party once a week is that possible if I'm not in panhellenic Greek life? I know everyone says that you can join "academic clubs" that throw, but I'm worried about getting there in the beginning and not being in any groups yet. Thanks.

first of all if u don’t want any greek life involvement u can totally still go to many opens and stuff basically every weekend as long as ur a girl lol and also it’s super easy to get involved in MANY clubs that all have their own little party communities like sports clubs, (competitive ones And super chill ones) cultural clubs (they accept like anyone) and many others! u don’t need to rush to go out and make friends and have fun. But as a sorority girl lol i am SO glad i rushed because the girls i’ve met through it and in my sorority i couldn’t trade for the world but its up to what is best for u!
