Listen here’s a REAL take on phi mu- Do they have a few weird girls? Sure. Do they have a few awesome girls? Yes They don’t party as much as other srats and are still lowkey New— definitely not top tier but also that’s OK!! they don’t try to pretend to be what they’re not, i know there’s some self ranking on this sight but I don’t think the majority of them are into that tbh no one thinks they mix with kap sig and they know it and are cool with it. Definitely more at the speed of ATO and lambda chi when it comes to mixers with frats Philanthropy events are usually pretty well done! Maybe not the most popular but they have a great sisterhood and always spread panhel love

WM we done with all the “leftover” stereotyping yet? The most racially diverse srat on campus and just goddamn fun. The single best convo I had during rush was a phi mu and we were belly laughing, like amazing girl. Actually care abt sisterhood cause they BUILT it and WORK for it each year. Kinda sick of seeing them ranked bottom time and time again.

Phi Mu is definitely known as the leftovers sorority on campus and they'll invite back anyone that they can. Some of the girls were very rude and fake during recruitment. I knew a girl that skipped their house just because she couldn't stand to go back and talk to them again because of how rude they were. Seems like some people like them and they have some good members here and there, but I rarely hear good things about Phi Mu. Definitely bottom tier but maybe they'll grow in the future.

NEW ON GREEKRANK

Are they still new? yes. But they’re definitely a fun and caring group of people. They do great with COB which shows no they’re not shafts, yes people want to be there. Each year their pledge classes shift more towards girls who pledge because they want to go Phi Mu. Small numbers, but I don’t think I saw many people drop this year as compared to the past. It will take a while, but one day they’ll be up to par with everyone else. A very unique sisterhood - you can’t say they don’t have character.

Phi Mu is kinda weird ngl, the girls all very "quirky" for lack of a better term. But if anything that just gives them personality, lots of the sororities are pretty basic but at least mixing Phi Mu you can feel you arent talking to the same person again and again. They definitely got a reputation for being the reject sorority, but I think that is starting to change as they solidify themselves on campus.

SO the tea is from pretty much everyone I know who rushed pref night ended up being something like piphi phi mu, dg phi mu, even maybe like kappa or theta and phi mu. So they def did well this year to have girls be interested in phi mu and a traditionally “higher sorority.” but then they didn’t go phi mu. so no one can see that personal growth and just saw the low numbers. until phi mu is no longer 3?4? Years on campus, they’re going to keep losing girls bc of their new rep. but at the same time, I know people who would never dream of rushing wanting to do or did COB (this year and years past) and these are some awesome people phi mu attracts that no other sorority has been able to. so maybe recruitment isn’t the best but they’re going to keep slowly growing as they take more COBs. maybe when I’m a senior they will be pretty much on level with everyone else? idk

I didn't personally end up going Phi Mu because I felt like I fit in a little better with a different chapter but I actually really liked them during recruitment? The girls I talked to were super chill and down-to-earth & they were really passionate about their philanthropy, sisterhood, everything. Maybe some people had less-than-stellar convos but I liked them a lot and I've heard from a bunch of girls that they liked Phi Mu but didn't want to join a sorority that was "new". Idk I just feel like if they didn't have that "new" reputation people would treat them a lot differently (in a good way).

Yeah, their recruitment sucked. They're bad at recruitment, and I've heard they're always bad at recruitment. Completely unpolished and barely reviewed the dos and donts of conversation, really turns people off how unpolished it was. There's a reason why PC2019 was so small. However, once you get outside of the recruitment world they're really nice. COB works better for them, but you can't recruit a whole class based on COB.

I don’t know what it is about these girls but they rub me the wrong way. I went through rush twice and both times I felt like they just wanted me to fill a space
